Last conference of the academic year! Last weekend before school ended, 24 NISC delegations, 18 delegates, and 6 chairs across 5 committees respectively, from the 7th grade to the 10th grade, went to Golden Gate Model United Nations ‘25 (their first conference).

The delegates and chairs alike took around 150 pictures during the event and served their debating skills both in their committee sessions and plenary as well! The delegates did so well that we even got home one best delegate award, Sarah Chang, from the WHO committee.

We would like to commend the chairs' efforts during the conference as well, taking on their skills in leadership and teamwork and experiences to resume the conference smoothly. We would like to say the conference was a SUCCESS!

We brought a total of 35 students to CIASSMUN. 27 delegates, 9 of whom were junior delegates, whereas the other 18 were senior delegates. There were also 8 chairs. 3 of which were head chairs, and 5 of which were deputy chairs.

Through weeks of simulations, our NISC delegates were able to perform with enthusiasm throughout the 3 days. Besides being the main submitters inside of the committee, both our juniors and seniors were also proactive during the plenary debate.

Ultimately, one junior, Bunsophanyka (Kaka) Soeng, who was the delegate of Poseidon, received a best delegate award in a specialised committee, Council of Olympus (COO). Alongside this, two of our seniors also received the best delegate awards for their respective committees. Benson (Billy) Yeth, delegate of Afghanistan for the Human Rights Council (HRC), and Dojoon (Matt) Park, the delegate of the United Kingdom for the Security Council (SC).

As a whole, we would like to conclude this conference a success, and we look forward to the last conference of the year, our very own NISCMUN 2025!

And we're back with another international trip, this time to The Hauge! From the sight seeing to the actual debate, our NISC delegates have been able to experience what Netherlands has to offer. Taking the bus to the world forum every day itself was interesting. There were many instances where we left a couple of students behind but all in all we made it back safely!  Though we are back to phonon penh now, we can still smell the stroop waffles scent that was all over Netherlands. they were even sold at the work forum!

A total of 2 Chairs and 4 delegates attended this conference individually.  Throughout the 3 days, we were able to interact with many other french schools around the world and gain new perspective in solutions written in resolutions. Though we didn't get any best delegate awards from this conference, its still one for the books to be remember.

From November 6th to 10th, 15 of our NISC students had the opportunity to visit South Korea to attend the prestigious SEOMUN 2024 conference.

On the first day, we visited various cultural sites such as the Gyeoungbokyung palace where we all dressed and took pictures in traditional han-bok! We strolled around the traditional palace, learning about its historical significance while enjoying the breathtaking views.

We also had an opportunity to go shopping, which many students were most excited about! From Insadong Street known for its vibrant cultural and artistic hubs to Bukchon Hanok village home to 900 traditional houses; our students well enjoyed traveling around Seoul.
The conference hosted by Korean International School was also a blast! From the engaging debates shared, the exciting social event party, and grand ceremonies, it was no doubt a memorable conference!
It was incredible to see the progress the students made from working tirelessly for the past few months to improve their public speaking, and critical thinking. This was definitely a trip to remember for all our students!
