Head ChairHi,
My name is Erika, I am a senior at LFRD. I'm looking forward to serving as your Head Chair of HC, marking my 12th conference, 11th time as chair. In my three-year MUN journey, I've been fortunate to take on various roles, including Secretary General, Head of Chairs and Delegates, Head Chair of Plenary Debates twice, and Head Chair for both local and conferences abroad. My academic pursuits include History, Geography, Geopolitics, and Political Science as specialised subjects for the French Baccalaureate, which, in addition to my internships, including two at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, have deepened my understanding of global affairs and notably the topics through case studies, attending a conference on hybrid justice during the Khmer Rouge trials and visiting the resource centre of the Extraordinary Chambers. Please let me know if you have any questions. Looking forward to meeting you, Erika KHOV |
Deputy Chair
Greetings esteemed delegates,
My name is Raina. Currently, I am a 10th grader attending the Northbridge International School Cambodia (NISC), and I will be serving as your Deputy Chair at this year's conference in the Historical Committee (HC). I am fully honored to have this opportunity to work alongside my head chair and the delegates within this committee to explore the retrospective of major historical events. In this year’s conference, we will be venturing off into the 1970s, examining two distinct, yet major political movements, both marked by violence and brutality. From the Khmer rouge regime, in 1975 to the Iranian revolution, in 1979, countries will work together and collaborate in hopes of forming several practical resolutions in aid of the issue. Regardless of your previous experiences, I assure you that this year’s conference, particularly the Historical Committee, will be a new experience for everyone, meeting new people and building new friendships at while. I look forward to meeting you all this following March. Best of luck. |
